Resolver*Ballot enables groups to assess risks, evaluate controls, reach consensus on complex business decisions and identify relationships between business risks or other issues, in a highly efficient process that frequently takes only half the time of traditional methods.
Product Overview
Resolver*Ballot supports meeting facilitators in the generation of consensus, enabling diverse groups to make better quality decisions, often in half the time taken by traditional methods. Using wireless keypads, participants respond to questions regarding risks and controls. The anonymity of keypad voting reduces negative effects of group dynamics inherent in many group-based processes. Voting results are viewed in real time, enabling the facilitator to generate both debate and decisions.
Leading uses of Resolver*Ballot include Risk and Control Self Assessment Workshops (RCSA), enabling a group to discuss and assess any number of business risks and controls; and as a Group Decision Support System (GDSS) allowing diverse teams to reach consensus on complex issues. Other applications include cause and effect analysis of risks or other business issues, supporting organizations’ ability to identify the sources of business problems, issue prioritization, opinion gathering and training.
Risk lists are easily entered directly into the system or imported from standard desktop software documents or from Resolver*Risk or Resolver*Net. In addition new risks or issues can be added “on the fly” within a workshop and saved for use in later workshops. Resolver*Ballot includes four assessment types:
Rating Scale: Rating of multiple criteria on low-to-high type scales. Enables the generation of scatter charts and heat maps and other reports.
Rank Ordering : Ranking by importance long lists of issues using one or more appropriate criteria.
Multiple Choice: Provides an anonymous testing or opinion gathering tool, with flexible question and answer formats.
Relationship Modeling: Used to identify cause and effect relationships such as key risk drivers for cross-silo and multiple interacting risks, viewing these relationships as a system and enabling the remediation of key underlying risks and issues.
Resolver*Ballot facilitates:
Focused and collaborative discussions
More robust assessments of objectives, risks or controls
Clearer understanding of the relationships and dependencies between risks
Higher levels of consensus on the key areas of risk to the organization
